MICHAEL ABLER
Last rites for Michael Abler, 90, of rural St. Cloud, who died Tuesday morning, will be held at the Lisowe Funeral Home in St. Cloud at 9:30 a.m. Friday and at St. Cloud Catholic church at 10 a.m.
The Rev. R. H. Stoffel will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Abler was born May 21, 1868, a son of Nicholas and Anna Catherine Freund Abler, and was married to Anna Casper, of Johnsburg, at Johnsburg on May 7, 1895. She died September 16, 1910.
Mr. Abler farmed near St. Cloud until 10 years ago and since then had lived with his children. For the past foiur years he had made his home with a son, Joseph, near St. Cloud.
He was a member of St. Cloud Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and the Third Order of St. Francis.
He leaves three sons, Joseph and William, of st. Cloud, and Frank, of Fond du Lac; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Rose Koenigs, St. Joe.
One daughter died in 1946, and two sisters and six brothers also preceded Mr Abler in death.

Honorary pallbearers w e r e Frank Butz, Christ Lefeber, Wendell Mueller, Henry Mertes, John Lisowe and Joseph Dreifuerst.
Active pallbearers were Cyril, Roger and Donald Abler, Milan Greget, Alfred and Howard Voelker.
The Third Order and Holy Name Societies attended the services in a group.
The Rev. Ralph Diedericlis, OFM, Cap., was seated in the sanctuary.
