Evelyn Mudd, 88, of Clarkson, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, surrounded by her family.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent her whole life with her children and grandchildren living close to her on the family farm. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Grayson Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emmer (Emma) Johnson Stith; her husband, Dent Mudd; four children, Allen Ray, Elizabeth Ann, Betty Jean and Julia Beatrice; two brothers, Willard and Bob Stith; a sister, Wilmagene Keith; and one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Anne Henderson.
She is survived by six children, Ralph Mudd (Cathy) of Knottsville, John Mudd (Sue), Martha Hill (Leon) and Sondra Burnett, all of Clarkson, and Leo Mudd (Joyce) and Sister Anne Michelle Mudd O.S.U., both of Leitchfield; 15 grandchildren, Anne Marie Henderson, David Mudd, Alice Bickett, Kevin Mudd, Danissa Lewis, Leigh Ann Lewis, Michael Mudd, LaTina Adams, Lana Jo Sosh, Leslie Johnson, Daniel Mudd, Chris Mudd, Laura Harrell, Andy Burnett and Dustin Burnett; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. CST Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. CST today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST Wednesday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson. Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. CST today and at 6:30 p.m. CST Wednesday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home.
