He is survived by his brothers: Duke Blackmon, Buell Blackmon and Alan Blackmon; sisters: Faye Blankenship and Sue Pardue; several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with burial in Calcedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
