Annabelle Lucretia Davis was born on September 25, 1917 in Moulton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Alvah and Irene (Hanson) Davis, and she attended school in Colo, Iowa graduating from Colo High School with the class of 1935. On February 27 1937 she married Ralph (Bud) Henze in State Center, Iowa. She and Bud had farmed in rural State Center. She had worked as a cook at State Center Manor and the Marshall County Home. Annabelle loved to sew and was known as a great seamstress, she enjoyed reading, playing cards and board games and was known to be very competitive. She was a member of The St. Paul's Lutheran Church in State Center, Birthday Club, and St. Paul's Lutheran's Women's Fellowship and very active with the Senior Citizens.
Left to cherish are her children: Bonnie (Edward) Rasmussen of Newton, John (Pat) Henze of Albion, Judy (John) Greenfield of Jewell, Iowa and daughter-in-law, Irma Henze of State Center her grandchildren; Beth, Trish, Mari, Mark, Craig, Julie, Stacie, Dawn, and J.P. and 22 great-grandchildren.
Annabelle will be rejoining in heaven her parents Alvah and Irene, her husband; Bud, her son ,Ben, her sister, Vivian, and her grandchildren, Edward and Susan and son-in-law Stan Mikutis.
