He was born Wilburn Andrew Buchanan, after he got grown he changed his first name to William. Uncle Bill was always a mystery to me, my dad never knew anything about him. Bill left LA and went to TX, from what I understand he broke all ties with his family in LA. Aunt Viola Buchanan Jones is the one that told me how Bill changed his name once he was grown. As far as I know he never had children.

His first marriage was to Emily M. Smith b. Abt 1877 d. Dec 28, 1943 in a hospital in Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. They married Feb 27, 1903 Winnfield, Winn Parish, LA.

Bill's marriage to Delaney Pearl Haskins was on Apr 9, 1957.
