June 14, 2011, at his home. He was 74. He was born Nov. 21, 1936, in Pawhuska OK, the son of Jonas Morgan Steele, Sr., and Goldie Marie (Shelton) Steele. He was a 1956 graduate of Ponca City High School. He worked for Chaplin Oil Company and on pipelines before retiring. He was formerly married to Roberta Thompson Steele.
Morgan attended the Ponca City First Church of God. His enjoyments included gardening, cooking, and TV. He was an avid OU fan and knew all the names of the coaches, players, their high schools, and pro teams they now play for.
Morgan is survived by his son Teddy Steele and daughter Terry Steele, both of Enid OK; grandson Travis Steele; sister Betty Lou Pino and husband Bill; brother Victor Steele; and uncle Andy Shelton of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Arnold Dean Steele; sister Ruby Rose Anderson; and infant sister Lucy Ann Steele.
