Dennis E. Gilliam
Dennis Earl Gilliam, age 60, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 5:35 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo., following several years of ill health.
Dennis was born Nov. 1, 1950, in Joplin, the son of Earl and Deana Gilliam.
He was raised in Duenweg and graduated from Joplin Senior High School.
He worked for Ozark Mental Health Center and formerly worked for Four States Auto Parts.
He was a member of Central Christian Center.
Dennis was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Survivors include his sister, Janet Wininger and husband, Jerry, of Joplin; a niece, Julie Wininger Spille; a nephew, Jason Wininger and wife, Natalea; and six great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Rev. Doug Wilkerson and Paul Bayless officiating.
Burial will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the chapel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary, of Joplin.
