Death of Young Dairyman

B. Filippini, whose ranch is located near Ignacio and who was well known in Petaluma, passed away at St. Winifred's Hospital in San Francisco on Friday evening, the news of his death being sent to this city shortly after. The deceased had been failing in health for some time and recently entered the bay city hospital for treatment.

The deceased is survived by a widow and he was the nephew of Joseph and James Beffa. He was a native of Switzerland and was aged about 30 years. A greater part of his life had been spent in Marin county and he conducted a large diary ranch. He was a highly esteemed young man and his friends in Petaluma were legion.

Basilio married Anita Pifferi on Sept. 25, 1913.

When Basilio died nine months later, Anita was five months pregnant. Anita named their little girl, Basilia, after her father.
