Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia
Kelso Barnes, 82, of Fayetteville
were Tuesday afternoon at Higgins
Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis
Johnson and Rev. Chester Stevens
officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill
Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnes died Monday morning
at Lincoln Regional Hospital after
a long illness.
A native of Lincoln County, she was
the daughter of the late Frank and
Birdie Koonce Kelso. She was a
member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Mr.
Hubert Gordon Barnes; two sisters,
Miss Frances Kelso and Mrs. A. L.
Bender, both of Chattanooga;
one granddaughter and one grand-
son.
