Blanche E. Derickson, 86, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Tuesday May 3, 2011 at 7:16 p.m. in her home.

She was born March 15, 1925 in Clay City, Kentucky to the late Dillard and Grace (Shear) Estes. On June 26, 1955 in Stanton, KY she married Marcus H. Derickson who preceded her on November 11, 1999.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Rick) Glassman of LaPorte, IN; brother, Dr. Paul Estes of Rhode Island; and 2 grandsons, Marcus H. Glassman of Washington, DC, and Patrick R. Glassman of LaPorte, IN.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Claire Godwyn and Nell Armour; and 3 brothers, Roy, William and Russell Estes.

She retired after 15 years as a book keeper at Tri-State Electric.

She was an avid bridge player and a former member of the Pottawattamie Country Club. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
