Funeral for Agnes "Polly" Goodner, 65, of Decatur was to be today at 10 a.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Mitchell officiating.
Burial was to be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Goodner died Monday, December 22, 1997, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born October 8, 1932, in Marshall County to Thomas and Minnie Hill Waldrip. She was a retired apartment manager and life-long member of Northside Baptist Church, now Parkview Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Anthony Goodner of Decatur; one brother, Frank Waldrip of Stockbridge, Ga; one sister, Azzalene Johnson of Decatur; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Johnathan Mims, Chris Young, Donnie Blankenship, Robert Fitzgerald, Daniel Buford and Mike Sandlin.
