Henry Becker Has Fatal Heart Attack
Funeral services were held Monday for Henry William Becker, 78, of rural Janesville, who died Friday of a heart attack while visiting his daughter's home in Hastings.
A former buttermaker and farmer, he was buried from Freedom Immanuel Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, Waseca County. The funeral was at 2 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
He was born January 10, 1885, in Naperville, Ill., and came to Freedom Township in 1915 from Iowa. He was married April 19, 1908, to Emma Schwanz.
She survives as do two daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. Art (Edna) Braun, Hastings; Mrs. Roy (Eleanor) Ingalls, Mint Canyon, Calif.; Arnold of Janesville and Wilbur of Albert Lea. There are also 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and a sister also survive. They are Richard of le Center, William of DeSota, Wis.; John of Barron, Wis.; and Mrs. Clara Fanello of Milwaukee.
Arnoldt Funeral Home in Janesville was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Robert Braun, Richard, Allen and John Becker, George Bohlken and James Braun.
