* Jennie Cordero Tarango was Susie Villa Albers Baby Sister, and my Great Aunt Jennie - she was a wonderful woman.
* Together, with Great Uncle Gaspar she had 6 daughters, Norma, Eleanor, Kathleen, Alicia, Barbara and Susie.
* Every year she and her daughters would get together before Christmas and make fruit cakes for each and every person in the family. I never had a fruit cake like those again. They were wrapped in a rum-soaked rag and were really delicious and moist!
* I can remember when I was a boy, my Grandmother, would take me by the hand and we'd go walking (sometimes bare-footed) through the sand over to visit Aunt Jennie and Uncle Gaspar in Hermosa Beach, CA. Aunt Jennie always had freshly made, home prepared yummies in the house. I loved her hand-made flour tortillas.
* Aunt Jennie would always find the time to play with us kids. That's why she was so beloved by all who knew her.
* Aunt Jennie lies, in repose, next to her Husband, Gaspar O. Tarango.
* God rest your Sweet Soul Aunt Jennie.
