IN MEMORIAM
It is with sad heart that commemorates upon the life of my youngest sister, the wife of Chas. Gaulding, of Nottinghill, Mo.
Emily J. Gaulding, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. JA Kyle, was born in Tennessee, June 22, 1880; moved with her parents to Mo. at the age of 8 years, where she had resided ever since. She was converted at an early age, and united with the Oak Dale Missionary Baptist Church where she had been a faithful member ever since.
Sister Emily was afflicted with that dreaded disease of cancer, and the long anguish hours of pain and misery she suffered is indescribable, but she bore her suffering with much patience to the end. Conscious of her condition, knowing she could not recover, she welcomed the message "Come to me thy good and faithful servant," encouraging her loved ones to follow. I cannot pass without saying a word of credit for her family, I never saw more tender and affectionate care, not only by her husband, sons and daughters by by inlaws also.
May her passing be a guiding star for her loved ones to follow on. Emily was united in maggiage to Chas. Gaulding Dec. 16, 1897. To this union were born two sons and five daughters: Socia Haskins, Annie Foster, Mildred Lane of Nottinghill, Mo., Gertrude Wallace of Hammond, Mo., Doris of the home, Jessie of Nottinghill and Herval of the home. She departed this life Jan. 30 at 10:30 p.m. and was laid to rest in th Gaulding Cemetery Feb. 1 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Alva ennett of Dora, officiating.
She leaves to morn their loss besides her family, two brothers and four sisters: R.T. Kyle of Nottinghill, Mo.; J.L. kyle of Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. R.A. Baker of Hammond; Mrs. RD Gaulding of Thornfield; Mrs. D.D. Gardner and Mrs. N.V. Gaulding of Nottinghill; thrteen grand children, a host of relatives and friends.
