Elaine Dorothy Wolfram Berry 1914 - 2011. The second oldest of four daughters of Theodore and Frieda Wolfram, Elaine was born in Bradford Township, Wisconsin on November 10, 1914, and passed away on June 12, 2011, in Bakersfield, California. She was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Harold Berry in 1960 and by two sisters, Alviera Wenzel of Sharon Wisconsin and Beatrice Schallock of Bakersfield California. Elaine's survivors include her daughter, Shannon Clarke and granddaughter Caitlin Clarke of Kingwood, Texas, her Sister Marlene Hill and husband Tom of Fontana, Wisconsin, and Cousin Arlene Hessler of Delevan, Wisconsin. She is survived by nephew Larry Schallock and wife Pamela, their daughter Elaine and son William, and by niece Bonnie Johnston, husband Keith and their daughter Nicole of Berkeley, California. She is also survived by her niece Kathleen Forcey Freeman and her daughter Kelly of California and by nephew Lynn Wenzel, nephew Lee Wenzel, niece Lonnie Tieschen of Wisconsin and Illinois. She is a Navy World War II veteran who sang in the Navy Choir and participated with War Bond Drive performances. She was active at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bakersfield where she often served as a volunteer and sang in the choir for many years. During the last several months she was cared for in particular by her great niece Elaine Schallock. In addition, the family wishes to thank the personnel at Interim Care and Optimal Hospice for their loving care. Services will be held on Friday, June 17 at 10:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buena Vista Road. This will be followed by a graveside service at 1:15 PM at the Bakersfield Veterans Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Boulevard near Route 58.
