This old and respected citizen died last Friday night, Oct 16, after a long and painful illness and several years of slowly failing health. He was in his 71st year, having been born in Ohio in 1815. He came to Page county in 1859, and in the years since then has been an active and prominent figure in the affairs of the county--a good citizen, a good neighbor, a faithful husband and father. He was a man of generous and charitable spirit. He was for 20 years a faithful member of the Universalist church, and his honorable life won a wide circle of friends ot mourn his death.
