Betty L Hunt. 69, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2003, at home.
Betty was born on Feb. 8, 1934, in Lake Mich. She was the daughter of Stanley and Anna (Ripenberg) Shinabarger. She grew up in Cheboygan County moving with her family to Flint, Mich. She graduated from Beadle High School in Flint.
On Oct. 4, 1963, she married Ralph J. Hunt in Flint The couple made their home in Roseville Mich., until 1966,when they moved to Afton. Years ago, Betty had been employed with Circuit Control in Harbor Springs.
Betty enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting. Betty enjoyed camping throughout the United States.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph, sons David (Cheryl) Eddy of Everett, Wash. Randell (Ronnie) Eddie of Tower, Mich. Ralph Hunt Jr. of Afton and Kenneth (Terrie) Hunt of Petoskey; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Robert (Ilene) Shinabarger of South Branch, Mich. and James (Mary) Shinabarger Lecanto, Fla.; sisters Alice Powell of Lake, Mich. and Anabelle LaPeer of Afton; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by one son, Paul Eddy; and her five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at the Lintz Funeral Home in Indian River, with the Rev. John Wallace officiating. Interment was at Koehler Township Cemetery.
