He was a lighthouse keeper in Douglas (according to Elizabeth).
1863 He married Elizabeth (Wales).
1865 They had a son Thomas.

In the late 1860's, Henry Braithwaite migrated to the United States with his wife Elizabeth (Wales), mother Mary Bailey Braithwaite and son Thomas. He helped to build the Mormon temple in Utah.
The family settled at Salt Lake, Utah.

1870, June 30, in Utah, a daughter was born and died shortly thereafter.
In Utah, his mother Mary and wife Elizabeth died (1873).

Henry moved with his 16 year old son Thomas to California in 1881. They were persuaded by a friend to migrate to Whatcom Co in Washington.
They settled near the foot of Sumas Mountain in the Hopewell District, and built a log house, while clearing land. The farm was near Everson, WA.
