In 1865, August 25 in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England, their son Thomas Henry was born.
In the late 1860's, Henry Braithwaite migrated to the United States with his wife Elizabeth (Wales), mother Mary Bailey Braithwaite and son Thomas. He helped to build the Mormon temple in Utah.
The family settled at Salt Lake, Utah.
In 1870, in Utah, a daughter Mary E. A. Braithwaite was born, and died.
Henry's mother Mary and Elizabeth died there (1873) in Utah.
