The Iowa State Census of 1895 lists Effie as a 4-year-old girl in the household of Josiah K. and Martha E. Garvin in Prairie Township of Fremont County. She is NOT listed in the 1900 Federal Census and, moreover, that census identifies Martha as the mother of seven, only three of which are living. (Those three are listed in the household, and Effie is not among them.) Clearly, then, Effie must have died sometime between 1895 and 1900. Provided by #49393837.
