John married Mary Elizabeth (Suit) Williamson (2 Oct 1826 - 8 Apr 1920) on 18 Feb 1846 in Baltimore, Maryland.

In the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 U.S. Censuses, John and Mary lived in Washington, DC, and John was a "carpenter" (1850, 1860, 1870), and a "stair builder" (1880). John's occupation at the time of his death was "stair builder."

"On Wednesday, March 1, 1893 at 12:30 o'clock after a short illness, John B. Williamson in the 70th year of his age. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral services to be held at his late residence, 605 New York avenue, Friday, March 3 at 2 o'clock p.m."

Burial of Mr. John B. Williamson

Mr. John Williamson, a life-long resident of Washington, was buried in Congressional Cemetery Friday. He will be remembered by the older residents as having been a prominent builder. The cause of his death was paralysis, with which he was stricken last Friday. Mr. Williamson had nearly completed his seventieth year.

1) Mary V. Williamson (born c.1853).

2) Charles J. Williamson (1865 - 1943). He [1st] married Lydia Ann (Hoover) Williamson (14 Dec 1870 - 19 July 1901) on 15 Apr 1891. Charles [2nd] married Anna S. (Meding) Williamson (1877/78 - 1952) on 7 Oct 1909 in Washington, DC.

3) Frank Williamson (born Aug 1868) was single and living with the family of his sister, Alice, in the 1940 U.S. Census.
