FORMER RESIDENT ISAAC BORING DIED SUNDAY NEAR CLAYPOOL, IND.
Friends and relatives in the eastern part of the county were advised of the sudden death of Isaac Boring, who passed away of heart trouble at an early hour Sunday morning at the home of his daughter Mrs. John Faurote, near Claypool, Ind. The deceased had lived for many years in the vicinity south of Hobbs, where he was well known and highly respected.
Since the death of his wife about five years ago, he has been living with the daughter at Claypool and also with another daughter, Mrs. Brooks Dellinger, of near Hobbs. The funeral party is expected to arrive in Hobbs Tuesday noon and the services will be held in the Methodist church in Hobbs with burial in the New Lancaster cemetery.
Isaac Boring was born in Rush county on Christmas day 85 years ago and at the age of twenty was married to Miss Luvisa Carpenter and soon thereafter came to Tipton county to reside. He served his country during the Civil War as a member of Co. I, 51st Indiana Regiment. The wife of his youth died July 24th, 1895, and five years later he was united in marriage to Mrs. Katherine Boring, his brother's widow, who passed into the great beyond five years ago.
He united with the Methodist church in the pioneer days, when divine worship was often conducted in school houses, he and his first wife frequently attending services in the Union school house.
The sons and daughters surviving him are all the children by his first marriage and they are: William Boring of Windfall, George, of Elwood, John of Huntington, Mrs. Brooks Dellinger, of Hobbs and Mrs. John Faurote, of Claypool. (Tipton Daily Tribune, October 20, 1919)

William Boring returned home Tuesday from the vicinity of Preston, where he was called last week by the death of his aged father, Isaac Boring, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Faurote, in that locality of heart trouble. The remains were taken to Elwood and the funeral held at the M.E. church Tuesday and interment followed in the New Lancaster cemetery. Mr. Boring was 85 years of age, a veteran of the Civil War, serving in the 51st Indiana Regiment commanded by Col. A.D. Streight. (Tipton Daily Tribune, October 28, 1919)
