Mrs. Oglesby was married to J.R. Oglesby. She was an owner-operator of a beauty shop in Angleton, Texas, sold Avon products and owned and operated a dry cleaning business.
She was a memeber and attended the Church of Christ in Kingsland, member of the senior citizens in Kingsland and was a Rebecca. She very much liked games and especially dominoes.
Ada had lived in the Angleton area for 20 years, Hamilton for 15 years and then in Kingsland for about 14 years.
Ada is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Beth & Henry Kattner of Kingsland, Texas; Kay Page of Angleton, Texas; and Penny & Steve Grimes of Brazos, Texas; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Oglesby was preceded in death by her parents; husband J.R. Oglesby (1994); brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Beverly Vetter (2009); son-in-law, Raymond Page (2004) and great granddaughter, Cheryl Stradley.
Visitations will be held at the Putnam Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ, 2310 West RR 1431, Kingsland, Texas on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 11 a.m., with Mr. Joe Winnett officiating. Graveside services will be held at the Fairy Cemetery, Fairy, Texas, on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ada to the Cherokee Childrens Home, 13355 South Highway 16, Cherokee, Texas 76832.
