Robert C Anderson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother died June 12, 2011 surrounded by his family and our loving God.
Preceded in death by parents Carl & Martha (Habberstad) Anderson; brother Don; sister Gwen.
Survived by wife of 55 years Shirley; sons Dale (Sharon) and Kevin; and daughter Susan (Ron) Johnson; Grandchildren Serena (Brian) Resler, AnaChristine (Dan Zack), Bradley, Kelly, and Nathan; Great grandchildren Ethan, Zachary and Charley; sisters Shirley Johnston, Beatrice Peterson, and Lois Peterson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bob was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 2, 1918, graduated from Forest Lake high School in 1946. He was drafted into the US Army where he served his country from 1950 to 1952. On September 10, 1955 he married Shirley Medin, then moved south of Chisago City to the dairy farm in 1956.
Bob was a lifetime dairy farmer involved in local co-op boards, Chisago County ADA, USDA, DHIA Board. He loved farming, his Farmall "M" tractor and traveling. He and Shirley along with son Dale and daughter-in-law Sharon who farmed in partnership received the Farm Family of the year Award for Chisago County.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom & one hour prior to service at the church.

Interment at South Green Lake Cemetery in Chisago City.
