DIMMITT - Gladiola Shipley, 85, died Thursday, March 1, 2001.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories at Clovis, N.M., by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
Mrs. Shipley was born at Normangee. She had lived in Dimmitt since 1977, moving from Friona. She was a past resident of Plainview, Chickasha, Okla., and Clovis. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt.
She married Donald Shipley in 1933 at Portales, N.M.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Don Shipley of Waco; a daughter, Dona Lee Mathos of San Angelo; a brother, Arvel Lee Black of Friona; and three grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be to the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt.
