Elma Genieve Oman Klitgaard, age 81, died October 19, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born September 19, 1910 in Price, Utah to Andrew Peter and Celestia Draper Oman. Married Elmer Alfred Ingvard Klitgaard, he passed away in 1979. She was an active member of the LDS Church and was a 4-H leader for many years. She was the State President of General Federation of Women's Clubs of Utah; Member of the Utah Federation of Women's Republican Club; Salt Lake Women's Republican Club; Utah Chapter Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge; The Ladies Literary Club; League of Women Voters; The Governor's Commission of the Status of Women; Salt Lake District of the Federation of Women's Clubs; Past President of the Womens Conservation Council, The Murray Ladies Civic Guild, Sugar House Business and Professional Women's Club and the Salt Lake Council of Women. She was a delegate of the Women's State Legislative Council of Utah. She recieved The Engraved Silver Bowl Award for Club Women of the year from the Salt Lake Tribune. She is listed in The Book of Outstanding Women in America and chosen Woman of the Year for Sugar House BPW, and recieved a 25 year pin. Trees were planted in her honor at the State Capitol grounds, and she was designated Club Woman of the Year for General Federation of Women's Clubs of Utah and was to recieve her 50 year pin.She is survived by two daughters: Joan C. Rydalch and Kathryn R. Manning. 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, at 12 Noon in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple where friends may call Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m and Wednesday 10;30 to 11:45 a.m. Burial in the Salt Lake City Cemetery
