Obituary

MRS, G. W. ALBEE

Mary Ann Kettering was born Woodbury, Bedford County, Penn., August 1, 1848. She moved with her parents to LaPorte City, Blackhawk County, Iowa, in 1855. There she grew to womanhood and on March 10, 1972 was married to George W. Albee. They moved to Goldfield, Iowa in 1881, where their family was raised.

In March 1904 the family moved to Harris where they have since resided.

Mrs. Albee died on Sunday May 27, 1923 at 9:35 A.M. after a few days struggle between life and
death following an operation on Tuesday, May 22, 1923.

The operation proved a little too severe for one of her age to stand and although she made a brave struggle to live for the sake of her loved ones, she was just as willing to die if it was the Lord's will.

Mrs. Albee was at the time of her death 75 years, 9 mouths and 27 days.

There are left to mourn her loss, her loving husband and six children; A. E. Albee of Eagle Grove, Ia.; D. J. Albee of Long Lake, Minn.; M. E. Albee of Shell Lake, Wis.; Elva C. Wiegman of Claude, Texas; J. S. Albee of St. Paul, Minn.; and H. G. Albee of Harris, Iowa; also 13 grandchildren and a host of friends.

Mrs. Albee was a member of the Harris M. E. Church - she lived a life of unbroken faith in God,
sincere devotion to duty, and complete faith and confidence in those about her and died in perfect peace, having the hope of glorious immortality, thus consummating a beautiful Christian life, an example to all of simple faith and absolute trust in God.

Services were held at the Harris M. E. Church on Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock, May 30,
1923, conducted by Pastor J. L. Hutchings.

Interment was made at the Ocheyedan Cemetery,
