Never knew a stranger, she could talk for hours in the grocery store. Known as a woman who would give anything to anyone who had a need. She enjoyed substitute teaching at the school.
Momma had given her life to the Father with a promise when she became ill. Her gallbladder had bothered her for some time. She waited too long to go to the Doctor and became very ill. She was told that it had become gangrene, her surgeon would try to get it all out, but it could be fatal. She said she prayed fearing death and told God that she would go to church every time the doors opened if He would let her live. She kept her word and started going to church years before that last revival she attended. It was told that last night of that revival Momma went up for prayer. She spent time alone and declared that she had told the Lord that no matter what it took to get her family saved she was willing and ready to do it.
She was brutally murdered the following Tuesday...

Daughter of the late Goldie B. Ashcraft and the late Shirley J. Ashcraft. Mother of Randy, Denise Marsh, the late Robert Ian, Sean and Norman Jr. (Scottie.) Grandmother of Tera-Lynne, Brian II, Brandon, Brynnon, Brett and Abigail Marsh; Janice, Randy Jr., Rayney Lillie. Great Great Grandmother of the late Kaylynn Marie Marsh. Beloved Sister of Carolyn Puckett, Lola Rutherford, Fredrick (Ricky) & Goldie (Butchy) Ashcraft. Loved and missed by all that knew her.
