Dean was a weigh master for Van Camp Sea Foods before retiring. He was a member of the Wrightwood Hikers Club and the International Order of Foresters, Court 1176 Lomita. Survivors include his wife, Alvena; a son, Leslie of Lomita; a stepdaughter, Jean Davis of Cuero, Texas; a brother, Norman Dean of Torrance; and 10 grandchildren. Graveside services scheduled for 2 p.m. today in Green Hills Memorial Park, San Pedro. Kern Memorial Chapel, Victorville is in charge of arrangements.
