She was born on June 5, 1877, at Grand Isle, Vermont, the daughter of David and Sylvia Ferris. On May 6, 1893, she was united in marriage to Adonirum Straight of Jay, and of this union, there were three children, LeRoy, Elnora and Archie, all of Jay, who survived her.
Funeral services were held on March 8th, 1960, at 2 p.m., at the home of her son, LeRoy Straight, with the Rev. Elder Martin of Canton, New York officiating. Burial was in the Central Cemetery at Jay.
Pall bearers were Gordon Clark, Spencer Hall, Ralph Otis, Wally Pulsifer, Carl Torrance and Roland Smith.
