Juanita May Daugherty, age 80, passed peacefully at home in Whitehall on October 14, 2005. Juanita was born March 11, 1925, in Falmouth, IN to Henry and Hazel Sherwood.

Juanita dedicated her life to her family; a housewife, a mother, and a hands-on Grandma and Great Grandma wrapping each and every one of us in quilts of her love. She opened her heart to many with love and understanding, always finding the best in us all. The First Baptist Church of Muskegon is where she worshiped, volunteering through her art of baking for all needed benefits. We are all blessed to have her as a part of our lives, now and ever after.

Survived by children: Sherry (Jim) Preston of Grand Junction, MI, Wayne (Diane) Daugherty of Naples, FL, Dianne Waruszewski and Donna VanGeison of Whitehall, MI and Lee (Barb) Daugherty of Bedford, KY; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Sherwood, Frank (Nancy) Sherwood, Delbert (Lois May) Sherwood, Kenneth (Viola) Sherwood, of Cambridge City, IN and Cliff (Wanda) Sherwood of Milroy, IN; sister Eulala (Lair) Halterman of Rushville, IN; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Ray) Raney of Versailles, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Charles Daugherty, her parents, brothers, George, Henry Jr., and Lowell Sherwood; sisters, Maggie Richardson and Evelyn Brandon.

Service was held at Clock Chapel - Whitehall, with Rev. John Brown officiating. Interment will be made in Oakhurst Cemetery - Whitehall.
