He was born on Sept. 23, 1931, in Bentonville and was a son of the late Clarence William and Mozel Henry Baker.
Mr. Baker was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of Warren County High School and retired as a lineman from Potomac Edison, after 30 years of service.
On Sept. 8, 1953, he married the former Vivian Waters, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Ricky Lynn Baker of Floyd; two brothers, Ott and Orivel Baker, both of Browntown; four sisters, Ida Mae Hagan of Fredericksburg, Beverly Stefko and Eleanor Weaver, both of Manassas, and Sue Cornell of Dumfries; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Baker; and a sister, Helen VanderArk.
A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, June 15, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeffrey Schroder.
Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery, with military honors by the VFW Comer-Jones Post 621.
