Dehlia was born September 17, 1918, the daughter of Joseph Wesley Higgerson and Effie Ellen Slusher Higgerson. She married a Mr. Easton. The obituary of her brother, Chester Higgerson, lists Dehlia Easton as a surviving sister, living in Murphysboro, Illinois, so she was still living in February of 2005.
