Estella E. Carter, 82, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 21, 1926 in Bancroft, WI, the daughter of John and Dolly Nigh Rice. Estella married Alva LaVern Jones and together they shared five children. After Alva passed away, Estella married Virgle [sic] David Lounsbury and they shared seven children together. After Virgle [sic] passed away she married Stan Carter. He predeceased her on October 6, 1999.

Estella was the former owner of Ma's Caf' in Beloit. She also worked for various other restaurants in the area. She was known for her eyes. Estella was a former member of the Beloit Eagles Club and a supporter of the Beloit Casino.

Survivors include her 13 children, Elaine Wetzel of Beloit, WI, Butch Jones of Dallas, TX, Sarah Jones of Beloit, WI, Gary (Deloris) Jones of Hazel, TX, Richard (Janie) Jones of Beloit, WI, Melvin Lounsbury of Beloit, WI, James Lounsbury, Cordia (Greg) Whitt, David (Tina) Lounsbury all of Beloit, WI, Arnold (Marcie) Lounsbury of South Beloit, IL, Wanda (Derek) Dobbs of Rockton, IL, Susan Rice and Roy Sugars both of Beloit, WI; son-in-law, Danny Hayes; daughter-in-law, Tracy Lounsbury; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; special granddaughter, LaTasha; two sisters, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, three of her husbands, two sons, Russell Lounsbury and Virgil Lounsbury, daughter, Marie Hayes, brothers and sisters, and special friend, Dolly Nodland.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Randy Wandell of Victory Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
