Ilamay Addison age 92 of Lamberton, formerly Walnut Grove, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26 at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove.

Interment is in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Ilamay Addision was born July 4, 1918 on the family farm in Johnsonville Township to William and Helen (Arnhold) Radtke. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Johnsonville Township. Ilamay attended country school in Johnsonville Township, and graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1936. She attended Business School in Lamberton. Ilamay was united in marriage to Chester Addison on September 18, 1940 in Walnut Grove. They lived on the Addison family farm north of Walnut Grove and moved to Walnut Grove after they retired. After Chester died in 2001, Ilamay moved into Country View when it was built. In 2007 Ilamay moved to the Valley View Manor in Lamberton where she has resided since. She was a member of English Lutheran Church where she was active in ladies aid, missions, and circles. Ilamay was an especially talented artist in making ceramics, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a marvelous cook and had the gift of hospitality. Everyone was welcome at her home and she always had an abundance of food. Ilamay loved being around the children and spending time with her family. The great nieces and nephews considered her a second mother.

Ilamay is survived by her sisters: Doris Kosel of Springfield and Helen (Don) Anderson of Spencer, IA; and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Chester, daughter Renee, brother Earl Radtke, and godson Erik Anderson.
