MARY CAMPBELL ROLLINS was born on 28 January 1811 in Breckinridge County, KY and died on the Bronaugh farm near Baileyville, Nemaha County, Kansas on 16 May 1875. She was married to THOMAS CLAYTON BRONAUGH on 21 January 1828 in Breckinridge County, KY and in 1830 they moved to Schuyler County, Illinois where they lived until 1859. She and her husband became the parents of eight children. In 1859 they left Illinois and moved Nemaha County, Kansas.

Mary [Rollins] Bronaugh was from a family of noted Kentuckians and a cousin of Major Rollins and Ben Ficklin, both prominent characters in Kentucky history. Her parents had been Kentucky planters and slave owners, but long before the Civil War had greed their slaves and sent them to the Republic of Liberia in Africa.
