Reddick Knox enlisted as a Private, 29 Jul 1861 at Satilla, Georgia.

He enlisted in Co. "C", 13th Regiment Georgia Infantry, then the 13th Georgia was added to the 26th Regiment Georgia Infantry. Muster Roll cards show him present 29 Jul 1861 thru Feb 1862.

Reddick was admitted to General Hospital at Charlottesville, Virginia for debility from 11 Jun 1862 thru 12 Aug 1862. Reddick was admitted 12 Dec 1862 at Chimborazo Hospital #2, Richmond, Virginia for Inter. Fever, then transferred on 21 Dec 1862 to General Hospital Farmville, Virginia for Febris Intermittens. He received clothing while in General Hospital Farmville, Virginia, 26 Jan 1863.

Reddick was killed 14 May 1864 in battle at Spotsylvania, Virginia, burial at the place of death.

A Memorial stone was placed in Knox Cemetery, Lulaton, Brantley Co., GA.

Knox Cemetery is an old family cemetery.
