Mrs. Annie Daisy Stowe Ballance, 82, a lifelong resident of Hatteras, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1964, at 1:10 p.m. in her home after an illness of two years.
She was the widow of John Rufus Ballance and the daughter of Alonzo and Mrs. Nancy Willis Stowe.
She is survived by two sons, Elmer Ballance of Hatteras and Linwood Ballance of Staten Island, NY; a daughter, Mrs. Daisy Gaskins of Hatteras; a brother, Nelson Stowe of Hatteras; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service was held Monday in Twiford Funeral Home. Burial was in the family cemetery.
