Ballston Spa--Norman Fox Noxon, a well known and respected resident of this village, died at his home on Malta Ave., at 2:45 o'clock this morning [20 Mar] after an illness of about 3 months. About a year and half ago Mr. Noxon sustained a stroke of paralysis form which he gradually recovered, though never to his normal health again, in December he was taken ill again and has been confined to his bed since that time.
Mr. Noxon was the eldest soon the late C. M. Noxon and was associated with his father and brother, the late Millard F. Noxon in the dry goods business in this village in the sixties. They kept the leading dry goods store in the village at that time, the firm succeeded by the late A. N. Wiley & Son. For many years Mr. Noxon was employed by the late Congressman George West, of recent years being a commercial traveler.
Mr. Noxon was a member of the Baptist Church for many years. He survived by 1 daughter, Miss Jessica Mae Noxon, his wife dying only a few months ago, during the month of September last.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be strictly private. The Rev. Arthur R. Potter will officiate and interment will be made in the village cemetery.
