Mrs. Jessie Shedrick Long, wife of Alfred H. Long, of V Corners, died at her home lat night [17 July] after a lingering illness of nearly a year. The cause of death was a complication of lung and bronchial affections.
Mrs. Long was born in Mddlebury, Vt., in 1860, nearly 46 years ago, but had lived in this vicinity nearly all her life. She was married in 1886. she had been in poor health for a number of year, with occasional rallies, but for several months past had been weakening, and the expected end came at 11:30 o'clock last evening.
Mrs. Long is survived by three brothers and two sisters; Edward Shedrick of V Corners; Frank of Rutland, Vt.; Irwin, of York Haven, Penn. and Mrs. R. B. Jones, of Utica; and Mrs. William Correll of East Douglass, Mass. She leaves besides her husband, two boys, George and Clarence and one girl, Ada.
Mrs. Long has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church for twenty years. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
