Tom J. Todaro,age 84, passed away June 8, 2011 in Sun City West, Arizona. He was born April 8, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph Todaro and Rosemarie Rine Todaro.
Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1953. He was a member of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #2160 and in March of 2005 he received a Humanitarian Award. Tom owned and operated his own restaurant Papa Todaro's Restaurant for a time. He later worked for the Vista California School District. Tom and Marjorie came to Wickenburg in 1993.
Tom was active in the community for years and served in the Elks Lodge here in Wickenburg and was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by son Bruce Lower and grandsons Joey Todaro and Bill Lower, sisters Connie DeChillis, Nora Coneglio and Sofie Todaro.
He is survived by wife Marjorie P. Todaro of Wickenburg, Daughter Dawn Gage (John) of Colorado, Son Joseph Todaro of Wickenburg, Daughter Linda Peraldo (Lee) of Wickenburg, sisters Alice Madison of Ohio, Effie Mandolera of Florida, Lucy Anthony of Oregon, Grandchildren: Donna Todaro, Ryan Gage, Marisa Arredondo, Erik Arredondo, Kimberly Peraldo, Pearl Lower, Shawna Pedro, William Lower Great-Grandchildren: Alissa Metzger, Paige Metzger and Alexis Pedro.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with interment to take place in San Diego, CA. on Monday.
