Also, nearby, were the families of two of his GILMOUR uncles, JAMES ALEXANDER GILMOUR and JOHN THOMAS GILMOUR who had also relocated from Oregon.
Shortly after 1880 WILLIAM HENRY GILMOUR followed some of his LINEBARGER cousins who had settled in Ventura County, California near Santa Paula. There was a JOHN D. HENDERSON listed in the "voter" rolls in Santa Paula in 1882, and it possible that this was his step - father who might have moved there with his mother HARRIET. In any event WILLIAM HENRY GILMOUR was listed in Santa Paula on 11 Sep 1890 in the Ventura County Voter Register as a "brick layer". He married MARTHA ANN BARRINGER in Santa Paula on 7 April 1890 and they became the parents of four children: GENEVA B. GILMOUR, born in April 1891 in Santa Paula; LEROY WARD GILMOUR, born 6 Nov 1894 in Santa Paula; BENJAMIN FAY GILMOUR, born 26 January 1896 in Santa Paula; WILLIAM GUY GILMOUR, born 6 Feb 1899 in Newhall, Los Angeles County, California.

In 1920, he and his wife MARTHA were listed in the home of his son LEROY W. GILMOUR in the Saugus District of Los Angeles County, California. in 1924 and 1926 he and his wife resided on West Harvard Street in Glendale, Los Angeles County,California and he died in Glendale in 1928.
