A couple of years after his birth, his parents moved from Ventura County to Newhall, Los Angeles County, California and then to Burbank. He then moved to Saugus, in the Santa Clarita Valley of Los Angeles County and took up farming and that is where he resided when he registered for the World War I Draft in June 1917. He was married to MILDRED MARIE HADSELL on 9 February 1920 and they became the parents of four children.
BENJAMIN FAY GILMOUR remained in the Saugus area of Los Angeles County, California until his death in 1992.
