Carole Jane Kopp Brooks, 70, Indianapolis, died June 28, 2003. She was born March 7, 1933 to Robert L. and Violet (Ging) Kopp. She was united in marriage to Earl V. Brooks on March 21, 1959 and enjoyed a close and happy marriage.
She was employed by Amerisure (formerly Michigan Mutual Insurance Co.) for 26 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. For many years she volunteered at several different eastside nursing homes. She also spent countless hours helping family and friends.
Carole is survived by her husband, Earl; her sisters, Midge Davis, Frances Bucy, Alice Tyra and Barbara Kopp; brother, Greg Kopp and sister-in-law, Sue Kopp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who knew her as their beloved "Aunt Kay Kay." A brother, Robert Leroy Kopp, preceded her in death. Carole - gentle, sweet and kind, Dear sister, loving wife, Her light in this world has gone out, But she shines in heaven.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. with services held Wednesday, July 2 at 10 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
