Barney Croll
BESSEMER - Barney Croll, 62, of 14 Woodline Ave., was dead on arrival at the Jameson Memorial Hospital at 11:12 a.m. July 14, 1976, of an apparent heart attack. He was born in Slippery Rock, Pa., on July 9, 1914, to the late Delbert and Angeline Rutter Croll. He was a retired machinist of the "Cooper-Bessemer Corp. of Grove City. Mr. Croll was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Engineers. His first wife, the former Louemma St. Clair Eaton at home; a son Eugene of Slippery Rock; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Bobbert of Grove City, Mrs. Shirley Naomi Bobbert of Volant RD 1, and Miss Linda Croll of Grove City; a stepson Thomas Eaton of Canfield, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Anita O'Neill of Princeton, and Mrs. Eleise Slater of Bessemer; four half sisters, Mrs. Ethel Maxwell of Plain Grove, Mrs. Margaret McConnell of Edinburg, Mrs. Frances Hoff of Plain Grove, and Mrs. Hannah Croll of Athens, Ohio; a brother James of Satsuma, Fla.; six half-brothers, Delbert Croll of Butler, Samuel Croll, Elmer Croll, David Croll, Lee Croll, and Harry Croll, all five of Slippery Rock, and 13 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Monas W. Cunningham Funeral Home, Oak Street, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The body will be taken to the Joseph W. Ligo Funeral Home in Slippery Rock, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home in Slippery Rock, conducted by the Rev. William Peterson of Bessemer Covenant Church. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
