Mrs. Sarah Mathes, 80, formerly of Moweaqua, died at 7 a. m. yesterday in the home of a daughter Mrs. Mary Newcome, 1627 East Johns avenue, where she had lived several years. She had been ill a short time.

In addition to Mrs. Newcome, she leaves three other daughters, Mrs. May Workman of Decatur, Mrs. Martha Jackson of Macon and Mrs. Vi Carr of Moweaqua; three sons, Jack and Albert of Decatur, Joe of Moweaqua; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Crews of Pana, Mrs. Linda Bilyeu of Moweaqua and Mrs. Minerva Adams of Lovington; four brothers, Wilbur Adams of Assumption, James of Clinton, Tom of Macon and Isom of Moweaqua.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday in Stine funeral home, Moweaqua, with burial in Adams cemetery. 4 ½ miles northwest of Moweaqua.
