SHARP, HAROLD FOSTER (H.F.) - age 81, surrounded by his loving family at home in Lake City, TN, left this world on April 3, 2007, joining his departed family on the peaceful side. He leaves behind: his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Lee Foster Sharp; daughter, Polly Sharp Doka and husband Howell, and the 'apple of his eye' granddaughter, Rebekka Ashlee Doka. H.F. was born in Harlan County, KY on August 19, 1925 to the late Alice and Russell Sharp. He was a veteran of WWII where he served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He worked for the L&N Railroad and retired from the Seaboard Coastline Railroad in Jacksonville, FL. He enjoyed boating on Norris Lake and viewing the deer at the Norris Dam State Park. H. F. is preceded in death by: his parents and brothers, Russell T. and Robert Sharp.

He leaves behind: sisters, Kleta Disney, Helen Prewitt and husband Bill, Laura Gilliam and husband Johnny all of Lake City, brother, Kenneth Sharp and wife Ruth Ann of Toledo, OH, brother-in-law, Art Foster of Oliver Springs, TN, sister-in-law, Margaret Hall of Lebanon, TN. H.F. will be sadly missed by a host of Nephews and Nieces to remember his special love and dedication.

Visitation 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral service, 8:00 pm Thursday, April 5, 2007 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Prewitt officiating. Interment, 10:00 am at the Historic Leach Cemetery in Lake City, Tennessee with Full Military Honors provided by the Campbell County Honor Guard. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the: National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4219 Hillsboro Road, Suite 306, Nashville, TN 37215. Hatmaker Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of arrangements.
