Funeral services for Annie H. Abel, 99, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Brian Bauer of Peace Lutheran Church, Rockdale officiating. Burial followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. She died Monday, Dec. 4 in the Winnie L Nursing Center in Cameron. Mrs. Abel, a resident of Sharp since 1928, was born Jan. 6, 1901 in the Bushdale Community to Henry and Annie (Schwarz) Von Gonten. She married Henry Frank Abel, was a homemaker, member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale, loved to sew and enjoyed working with flowers. Mrs. Abel was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Frank Abel on Aug. 1, 1928 and her parents. Rockdale Reporter
