Alfred H. Warters, 97, of Elmira, formerly of Lambs Creek, died Sunday, April 25 at the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, Wellsboro, PA.

He was born July 8, 1878 in Lambs Creek PA the son of Henry and Lydia Gould Warters.
Survived by four daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Hitchcock of Mansfield, Mrs. Glenn (Gladys) Scott of Mansfield formerly of Endicott, Mrs. Samuel (Bertha) Kerr of Endicott, Mrs. Richard (Beatrice) Frank of Mansfield; one sister Mrs. Katerine TenEyck of Elmira; 9 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Lambs Creek Bible Church. He was employed by the Mansfield Municipal Water Co. for 45 years and was the superintendent for the last 17 years. He was justice of the Peace for the Richmond Township for 26 years.
