THE HENRY BULLETIN, Fri., Feb. 21, 1930, p. 7, col. 2 [edited]. Correction to earlier posting of 8/4/2002. Robert A. Prunty, age 81, life long resident of Henry County, passed away quietly at his home on Lester's Hill near the city, Tuesday afternoon following a paralytic stroke. He had been in declining health for the past several years. Surviving besides his wife is one half-sister, Mrs. Maggie Williamson of this city and one half-brother, William Prunty of Snow Creek, Franklin County. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon and the body laid to rest in the Draper burial ground near Dyer's Store. The deceased was a well know citizen of this city and for a number of years was in the employ of the city as superintendent of garbage collection until two years ago when ill health forced him to give up active work. [The initial posting on 8/4/2002 indicating he married at age 22 in 1877 to Harriett Turner was in error. See the above obituary of his wife, Keziah "Kizzie" J. (Draper) Prunty which shows they were married in 1879, he was a son of Robert Prunty and that he is buried with his wife in the Prillaman cemetery off Rt. 657 in Henry County].
